Stage 3

Sketchbook
First I printed my images onto acetate which created contrasting images to the original ones taken.
I then imaged traced my photographs onto tracing paper using black and white acrylic pens and pencil for shading.
I created these prints by using acetate and rolled ink onto it. I then lay cartridge paper on top of the ink, and finally layered my image on top. I then used a fine pencil to trace my images, creating distinct areas where I had drawn, and more patchy areas from where the paper was lay. To present them I layered them on different types of paper and sections of acetate used to make the monoprints.
I developed this idea further by reintroducing colour into images. This created a contrast between the black ink of monoprinting and colour of the pencils and oil pastels.
For Stage Three of this component i created physical montages using sections of images. I then layered images cutting out specific sections to create entirely new images.
